Resumen
Las bacterias son organismos microscópicos unicelulares que se encuentran en todo lo que nos rodea. Pueden hallarse sobre múltiples objetos o alimentos, en el cuerpo humano, en ríos y mares, en el suelo, sobre plantas y prácticamente en cualquier ambiente que nos imaginemos. La mayoría de las bacterias son inofensivas para el ser humano, incluso muchas de éstas establecen relaciones benéficas con nuestro organismo. Sin embargo, existen algunas que pueden causarnos enfermedades, las denominadas bacterias patógenas.
